The Story So Far...

SACRED HEART were formed in the mid-90's (by Paul Stead & original drummer Mark Beeby) and were joined shortly after by Mark Stephenson & bassist Paul Hamilton.

With no real goals outside of the recording studio (though building up quite a following on the local scene - due to a number of e.p's) the band called it a day in ‘99 - but remained close friends.

Paul & Mark (Stephenson) started jamming again in the summer of 2003 and decided to get SACRED HEART up and rockin’ again. Claudio Cafolla joined on drums & old friend Leigh Westbrook played bass live in support of "A New Dawn" & "Lay It On The Line".

Darren Jhuboo replaced Leigh on a full time basis and recorded "Shake". live shows & festival dates ensued but due to other commitments left the band in summer 2007 to be replaced by Nathan J. Lark - who has also contributed with his song-writing talents.

Claudio took a break from music, Alex Burke taking his place for "Darkness Falls" (7th December 2009).

SACRED HEART have a new permanent live line-up: joining Paul & Mark are: Darren (returning on bass) & on the drums Dave Thurlby. Look out for live dates in 2010, and more releases.

Timeline

1995 - 1999: recorded a number of well received e.p's/demos

2003: reformed & released the live demo "A New Dawn" (this lead to live dates with the likes of Saxon, The Quireboys & Kee Marcello's K2)

2004: made the acclaimed 10 track demo album "Lay It On The Line" available after huge interest

2004 - 2007: played many live dates, from support slots with multi-million selling artists, at festivals & headline shows

2007: recorded & released "Shake" & more live dates

2008: started recording a new album

2009: released "Darkness Falls" & returned to the live scene

2010: more recording & live dates
