a brief history. . .

who

uk based hard rockers sacred heart originally formed in the mid-90’s (by paul stead & then drummer mark beeby). shortly after they were joined on lead guitar by mark stephenson & on bass by paul hamilton

with no real goals outside of the recording studio (although building up quite a following on the local scene - due to a number of e.p's) the band called it a day in ‘99 - but remained close friends

paul & mark (stephenson) started jamming again in the summer of 2003 and decided to get sacred heart up and rockin’ again. claudio cafolla joined on drums & initially, old friend leigh westbrook played bass live. leigh was replaced by a permanent bassist jamie watkins but after just over a year in the band, travelling and university commitments took it's toll and he had to give it up. he was replaced by darren jhuboo

darren jhuboo was also replaced due to other commitments (late 2007) and nathan j lark is now bassist in sacred heart. claudio has taken a break from music and a search for a replacement will be underway soon

paul, mark & nathan are currently in the studio recording new material and updating songs from "lay it on the line"
